These baskets are entirely hand-crafted by artisans, right from dying the jute yarn to weaving it on a hand loom, and then stitching them by hand to give them their form. They are lightweight yet extremely sturdy, as they are constructed with 3 layers to give them strength & sturdiness. The outer layer is made of woven jute, with a middle rubber layer and an inner cotton lining. They are easy to handle & move around and are washable as well.
